ABOUT THE Children & Youth Ministry
The Children & Youth Ministry is a very active and energetic ministry within Zion Baptist Church. It serves almost 400 children & youth. Within the ministry we have several parents and adults within the church that volunteer many hours to continue to point our children in God’s direction. The 5 purposes of the ministry is teach and equip them in worship, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship and serving God’s people and lead
our children & youth in the ways of Christ and provide tools for studying and growing in God's word for their everyday lives.
The Children & Youth ministry provides programming activities, events, and bible study throughout the year to a generation of children & youth who are seeking guidance in Christ Jesus. The ministry promotes academic, social, cultural and spiritual growth for newborn age children all the way through their high school years.
Some of our ongoing activities & programs for the children & youth include: Ushers, Choirs, Praise dance team, Youth leadership council, Children’s Church, Youth Church, Spring break & Summer Trips, Fundraising events, Academic & Graduation events, Athletic, Drama, Community service opportunities and monthly & quarterly outings & fellowships.
Areas under this ministry include: - Nursery--Children ages 0-2 years old
- Preschool children church--Children ages 3-5 years old
- Elementary children church--Children 1st-5th grades
- Youth Ministry--Children 6th-12th grades
- Scouting Programs -
Girl Scouts Troop 22361 (k-3rd graders) meet on the 2nd Saturdays at 10am and 4th Saturdays at 12:30pm & Troop 2236 (4th-12th graders) meet on the 2nd Saturdays at 10am,

This is all connected to the church –wide “Grow” campaign by centering around a purpose -driven vision and executing the 5 purposes through our programming and activities for our children & youth.

- Psalms 24:6- “This is the generation of those who seek Him…”

This ministry meets the 1st Monday of each month @ 6:30 PM. The youth are also in charge of both worship services on the 4th Sunday of each month. For more information, contact Rev.
